Love at first sight.

No. I don't believe the existence of that. When you love someone, it would means accepting that person for who he/she is and that includes his/her weakness. Nobody would ever write their character on their forehead and let the whole world knows about it.

Rome wasn't built in one day.

There's no shortcut to knowing someone. This takes time and it doesn't just stop at knowing his/her birthday, favorite colors, hobbies etc. All these are just the surface stuff. What's more important is what kind of person he/she really is.

In the end, what you love may just be the appearance of that person. Just like you bought a book because you like the cover and not what book is about.

And today, I've just watched The Break Up.

Why is it that when you want that special someone to do something, why won't you just tell him/her straight rather than hinting?

Humans don't have mind reading powers. They won't be able to catch the hints every time. And when they failed to catch it, the other half would get upset and start quarreling about it.
